The number moves. So should your site.

Gold doesn't sit still, and neither does what we'll pay you. These are the Kitco New York spot benchmarks — the same board our buyers read every morning before the doors open.

Sell to Us · Pawn Loans

Cash today, without the judgment.

We added pawn loans in 1996 for one reason: people needed money but didn't want to lose the ring. A pawn loan is collateral, not credit — we don't pull your score, and it never touches your report. Pay it back, take it home.

Shop the Showroom

A gallery, not a glass case.

Steve Sr. hung Fresno's history on these walls because he couldn't help himself. That's the spirit of the room: everything in here was somewhere before it got to us. Five counters' worth — come look at it properly.

Services

The part that isn't for sale.

A master jeweler on the bench since 2004, an authorized PCGS and NGC dealer at the coin counter, and a free verbal read on anything you walk in with.

Jewelry Appraisals

What it's worth — and which kind of appraisal you actually need.

◆ Odd

Collectibles

Signed balls, Fresno history, Rhythm clocks. The stuff that makes it a gallery.

◆ Rent

Metal Detectors

Rent one by the day. One customer found his 2010 Giants ring on 20 acres.

◆ Gift

Gift Cards

Good across the showroom — coins, jewelry, repairs and everything between.

The Ledger

Forty-four years, one family.

Steve Foster Sr. left restaurant management and opened a tiny coin shop down the street from where we stand now. His kids grew up behind the counter. They're the ones who own it today.

1982

A small shop on Blackstone

Steve Sr., fresh off a restaurant career, opens Fresno Coin in a tiny building down the street from today's location. Coins and gold buying — that's the whole business. Kathy builds the service reputation that still carries the name.

1984

BBB accredited — two years in

Accredited by the Better Business Bureau barely two years after opening, and we've held an A+ rating ever since. Four decades is a long time to keep a clean sheet in this business.

1996

The loan window opens

Pawn loans added on gold jewelry, diamonds, sterling, Rolex and coins — so customers who needed money didn't have to sell the things they loved.

2004–2009

The bench and the second generation

Master jeweler Richard Cervantes joins in 2004. The Showroom opens as its own building in 2009 — coins, currency, estate jewelry and Rhythm clocks under one roof. Steve Jr. and Philip, who'd been working here since middle school, step up as owners.

2010

The Golden Opportunity begins

A gold-buying event where the proceeds go to Valley school kids. It has since sent $343,296 to the Fresno and Tulare County Offices of Education for academics, agriculture, arts and athletics.

2011

Downtown Fresno

A second counter opens on Tulare Street — a fast, no-fuss way to sell or pawn without driving north.

2012

The Torch Award — and 29 ounces of gold

The Better Business Bureau hands us its Torch Award for Ethics, which honours businesses for integrity in both operations and character. The same year, the Gold Treasure Giveaway raises $250,000 for Children's Hospital of Central California in four months.

2013

Visalia Jewelry & Loan

South Mooney Boulevard. Tulare County gets its own counter.

Today

Three counters, forty-plus people

Steve Jr. sits on the boards of the Fresno Numismatic Society, The Foundation at Fresno County Office of Education, and the California Pawnbrokers Association — working to raise the standard of the whole industry. Same family. Same handshake.

Giving Back

Gold that stayed in the Valley.

Since 1982 we've believed this is simply the right thing to do. Alongside St. Jude Dream Home, Coats for Kids and Change Bandits, two of our own events have moved real money to Valley kids.

In Their Words

The Values you want,
and the Respect you deserve.

I have been going to Fresno Coin Gallery since I was a child. I can remember my dad telling me this was the place to go for an honest deal, and he was right.

Stephanie Niewohner

It's great having a place that you can trust. At Fresno Coin I get a stress-free, guilt-free, pressure-free loan on my items. They don't pass judgment and I appreciate how willing they are to work with you. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Mirna Levato

I'm a professional coin dealer, and drive hundreds of miles to come to Fresno Coin at least twelve times a year. My visits are enjoyable due to the great variety of coins in stock, the expertise and knowledge of the staff, and the personal service I always receive.

Walt Ankerman

The staff is so knowledgeable about coins, the value of metals, jewelry and even the unique history of our area. They treat my 10 and 6 year old boys with sincerity and encourage their curiosity in coin history and collecting.

Heather Heinks

After taking 5 items to 5 different places, you had the best prices, best attitude, and your staff was very knowledgeable and patient in educating me through the process. I have been back many times since, and will not go anywhere else.

Debbie Dawson

Fresno Coin Gallery has set the bar high for school-business partnerships. Thanks to their leadership and generosity, our students have unique opportunities to succeed in the arts, agriculture, athletics and academics.

Bring it to the counter. We'll tell you straight.

No appointment. No credit check. No pressure. Just a fair number from people who've been doing this in the Valley since 1982.
